5 Millennial Articles to Read this Week – Round Up #14
Friday, March 8th, was International Women’s Day!
In honor of the joyous occasion, I am compiling my favorite articles from the best personal finance millennial ladies. All the money ladies, put your hands up. And then read these blogs.
1.) 8 ACTUALLY-EASY WAYS TO SAVE MORE MONEY by Half Banked
Ok, saving money sucks and is freaking hard. It seems like everyone is more naturally frugal than me, and just all around better at saving money.
Desirae has an excellent post on analyzing how much impact vs effort 8 of her favorite saving tactics have. I LOVE number five, it is so easy but actually kicks me into gear to save me like no other!
2.) Monthly Spending Report – February 2019 by Military Dollar
I am a sucker for how other people spend their money. How much is their rent? How much do they spend eating out (and how is it always so much less than me)?
Watching people spend less than $1,000/mo is just not relatable for most of us, and seeing a more realistic monthly breakdown is crazy motivating.
3.) HOW I’M SAVING MY FIRST $100K BY 25 by Her First $100k
Tori rebranded from Victori Media to Her First $100k and it is way more successful than McDonalds trying to introduce servers into their restaurants (it’s just weird to have a fast food place wait on me, ok).
As her new brand and title of this article state- Tori is on a mission to save $100,000 before she turns 26, and she is going to help women follow her in footsteps. Are you passed your 25th birthday like me? Tori still has incredible tips on growing wealth, and it is NEVER too late to get your finances in order.
4.) The Secrets to Staying Positive in Poverty by Money After Graduation
5.) SAVING MONEY ISN’T ABOUT SAYING NO–IT’S ABOUT SAYING YES by Luxe Strategist
If you read Luxe’s blog, you will be convinced she’s always just been naturally good with money. She buys real designer clothes (like, one shirt costs half my mortgage), is a modern day jet setter, lives in New York, and STILL SAVES HALF HER INCOME.
This post shows money and saving didn’t always come easy for her. It is crazy inspiring to see someone do a complete 180 with their money and seeing their tips on how to get better with saving. My saving has always come from a place of fear, and it’s really eye-opening to see it doesn’t have to be that way.
