5 Millennial Articles to Read this Week- Round up #7
We are ONE WEEK away from Christmas! And less than a month away from the New Year. We can’t believe how fast 2018 went, but are incredibly excited for what 2019 will bring!!
Each week, we do this round-up to feature awesome people doing awesome things and sharing their story on their blogs and websites. Last week, Steph featured some amazing posts, which you can check out here. Up this week is Erik.
Erik is ALL about the money, and included a few money posts in this round-up. Here are some of Erik’s favorite posts from the past week:
1.) You’ve Probably Come a Lot Further Than You Think, by My Life, I Guess…
When starting into a new world, everything seems so scary. You start to learn some things and realize that there is wayyyyyy more out there than you realize.
Over time, things get a little bit easier, and little by little, you learn how to navigate some of the complexities in the new subject or area you are looking into.
I loved this article because Amanda wants us to reflect on our successes when things get tough or slow. If a roadblock comes up, yes it will be a tough task, but look at how far you’ve come! There have been many roadblocks and you’ve crushed them all.
Great post!
2.) October Budget Review, by Saving Sherpa
How much do you save on a monthly basis? Justin from Saving Sherpa saved an incredible 85% of his income in the month of October!
Having a high income and super low expenses allow Justin to save a ton of money and invest for the future.
The transparency and numbers are inspiring! Keep up the great work!
3.) Setting a Strategic Vision for the Journey to Financial Independence, by Hustle Escape
Becoming financially free at a relatively young age is one of my goals. This post by Hustle Escape outlines some great questions for you to think about when thinking about your plan for financial independence and financial freedom.
While we at Simple Minded Millennial do not think financial freedom is for everyone, it would be amazing to achieve and live the life you want without having to worry about money 🙂
4.) WHAT TO PRIORITIZE: DEBT PAYOFF OR SAVING? by Diana on a Dime
Personal finance is personal! Diana gives her take on the age old question: should you pay off your debts or save some more?
What I loved about this post is she breaks it down into asking yourself the right questions and trying to understand what your short-term and long term goals are.
Once you find your answers, then you can strategically run the numbers and take bold action!
5.) Are Your Money Beliefs Keeping You from Building Wealth? by Grokking Money
This post is all about one of our favorite topics here at Simple Minded Millennial: MINDSET!
Are you holding yourself back from success with the way you think and act towards money? Grokking Money gives us 5 common beliefs that people typically will have towards money that might keep them from building wealth.
By working on correcting these beliefs and taking action, you can be on the path towards becoming rich!
